In 1975, The  Wangkanai  Group  started  off  as a  single  company,  Limited, which  was  the  first  sugar  factory  established  by  the  Group.

Today  the  Wangkanai  Group  ranks  as  one  of Thailand’s  major  sugar  producers, with  a  list  of  products  that  includes  raw, white, refined ,and  brown  sugar, all  of  which  are  marketed  both  domestically  and  aboard  with  the  crushing                capacity  around  100,000 tons  of  sugar  cane  per  day.

     Great  importance  is  assigned  to  the  cultivation  of  sugar  cane  using  systematic, scientific  methods.  Global  Positioning  System  (GPS)  and  Geographic  Information        System  (GIS)  technology  are  employed  in  growing  sugar  cane  in  an  efficient, closely  controlled  way  so  that  growers  can  provide  a  constant  fresh  supply  to      WangkanaiGroup  factories.

 

In  addition  to  improving  sugar  manufacturer,the  company  has  also  extended  its      operation  to  include  other  businesses,  some  related  either  directly  and  indirectly  to    sugar  production,some  completely  independent  of  it.  This  expansion  and          diversification  has  producedarealm  of  relates  companies  that  have  continued  the    trend  of  rapid  growth and  development.  New  production  technology  has  been introduced  to  improve  product  quality,and  research  and  development  work  continues  to  permit  the  group  to  offer  customers  products  of  the  highest  quality.

From  its  earliest  days,the  Wangkanai  Group  has  placed  major  emphasis  on developing    product  quality  and  service  to  international  levels  of  excellence.  The  success  of  this  effort  was  acknowledged  when  the  Wangkanai  Group  is  awarded    ISO 9002  and  ISO 14001 certifications. 2.Chaimongkol Refined Sugar Company, Limited (U-Thong Sugar Industry Factory)

The U-Thong Sugar industry Factory operates under the same management policy supported by sugar cane growers who are its major shareholders. This arrangement helps the factory attain its business goals to stimulates the development of the country’s sugar industry.

The factory’s continuing effort in developing the quality of our products and services was acknowledged when the ISO 9002 Quality Management Standard System certificate was awarded to U-Thong Sugar Industry Factory on 26 February 1999. Besides this, on 22 May 2000, the Factory achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate. This refects the high standard of the company’s environmental system and its awareness

 

 

 

 

 

3. T.N. Sugar Industry Company, Limited

The T.N. Sugar Industry Factory was established as a joint venture between the Wangkanai Group and the Nissho Iwai Corporation, which has always provided valuable support to Wangkanai. It was designed to manufacture raw, white and refined sugar with very high efficiency. The Nissho Iwai Corporation has also provided assistance in overseas marketing.

The factory’s continuing effort in developing the quality of our products and services was acknowledged when the ISO 9002 Quality Management Standard System Certificate was awarded to T.N. Sugar Industry Factory on 4 February 2000.

 

 

 

 

4. Angvian Industry Company, Limited (Ratchasima Sugar Factory)

The Ratchasima Sugar Factory was founded with the policy of obtaining produce from local sugar cane growers. Its primary objective was to serve as the sugar production center for Northeastern Thailand. The factory helps create jobs for local workers and is a center for the manufacture of products for export.

In conformity with the Group’s basic policy, cane growers participate fully in the factory’s support. The Ratchasima Sugar Factory is a major facility that uses high-level technology imported from Japan and Australia.

The factory’s continuing effort in developing the quality of our products and service was acknowledged when the ISO 9002 Quality Management Standard System Certificate was awarded to Ratchasima Sugar Factory on 17 February 2000; Besides this, on 11 June 2002, the Factory achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate. This reflects the high standard of the company’s environmental system and its awareness.

1.Sugar Industry Trading Company, Limited

The Sugar Industry Trading Company was established as a joint venture by six sugar – producing companies: the Wangkanai Sugar Co., Ltd.; the Chaimongkol Refined Sugar Co., Ltd.; the T.N. Sugar Industry Co., Ltd.; the Angvian Industry Co., Ltd.; the Saharuang Co., Ltd.; and the Rerm Udon White Sugar Factory Co., Ltd.; with the approval of the Cabinet to provide service to its members for the export of raw, refined and white sugar to various countries throughout the world, including neighboring nations like the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Malaysia.

 

2. Chaochom Warehouse Company, Limited

Since the Wangkanai Group manufactures sugar products, large quantities of which are to be exported, it was recognized that a storage facility and pier in Phrapradaeng was essential to the shipping operation by which it is send to customers abroad. As a result, the Group’s management team entered into a joint investment with the original Chaochom Warehouse Co., Ltd. To construct a warehouse for bulk sugar, while at the same time renovating a pier to receive the ocean-going vessels that would transport the sugar.

 

3. Ang Thong Warehouse Company, Limited

Because road traffic is so congested in the Phrapradaeng area of Samutprakan province, the Group’s management saw the necessity of having a warehouse on the Chao Phraya River to store sugar produced by factories in the Central Region. Such a facility, they realized, would permit lower transport costs than was possible when storing the product in Phrapradaeng. As  a result, the Ang Thong Warehouse Company, Limited was established.

 

4. Golden Land Organic Fertilizer Company, Limited

The Golden Land Organic Fertilizer Co., Ltd. Is in operation under the Thai trade name “Phaen Din Thong Organic Fertilizer”. A production of advanced biotechnological methods from raw materials supply by the Wangkanai Group’s sugar factories. One of our best attributes is that Golden Land Organic Fertilizer dose not includes extraneous materials or animal dung. Our fertilizer is rich with organic nutrients produced by plants and released by micro- organism to create the perfect organic fertilizer according to the customer’s specification.

 

5. Wang N. T. Paper Company, Limited

The Wangkanai Group entered into a joint venture with the Nibong Tebal Paper Co.,Ltd. Malaysia’s largest producer of sanitary tissue paper, to create the Wang N. T. Paper Co., Ltd. The company has been successful in using secondary fiber to produce sanitary tissue at low cost, thereby helping to preserve the natural environment and to keep expenses low while maintaining high product quality.
